Our Bylaws state: The purpose for which this corporation is organized is to promote educational and charitable activities through
social interaction among people with an interest in leather, Levi's and uniforms.
From 1993 to 2007, ACLC has given $200,000 to charities
serving Alameda County, including the AIDS Emergency Fund, We Care Bay Area, AIDS Project of the East Bay, Center for AIDS Services,
Children's Hospital of Oakland, Shelter Against Violent Environments, Lambda Youth Group, Tri-Valley Health Services, Inter-Club Fund,
Project Sunburst, In Memory Fund, and many more.
Our most important goal: locate and assist small service providers and agencies not
receiving large government or corporate grants. We assist those most in need.
ACLC's fundraising includes special events such as Santa's
Slave Auction, the Leather Elegance Ball, and our annual Mr./Ms. Alameda County Leather Contest.
